Safety
Vertical Access Ltd is nothing without our staff and ensuring their safety when working is integral to our operations. We ensure all of our operatives are fully trained and competent for the service they provide, reducing the level of risk as much as humanely possible. We pride ourselves in only accepting projects which uphold to our own levels of safety, as the services we provide can often be carried out at height or in confined spaces. Therefore, it is paramount to us that risk margins are minimised as much as possible for our operatives and our clients.

Our team
Having first trained in rope access in 1987, Paul has had close involvement within the industry and IRATA for over 30 years. At Vertical Access, Paul specialises in contract management, health & safety and quality assurance.
Having been a Level 3 IRATA Site Supervisor & qualified Civil Engineer for 20+ years, Andy’s industry experience is extensive. His expertise includes slope and cliff stabilisation contracts for the road, rail & water sectors.
Jo is responsible for the company’s operational organisation, logistics, procurement, accounts & personnel management. Overseeing the day-to-day running of the company by working closely with contract managers, administrators and site personnel.
With over 12 years of experience working for Vertical Access, Hannah has covered a variety of roles. She is now the company business manager, responsible for the co-ordination of personnel training, payroll & accounts management, logistics, audits & more.
Mike has been in the engineering industry for 10 years. He has worked in various Power Station, Petrochemical, Wind & Energy sites around the UK & Europe, with heavy involvement in the Battersea Power Station Chimney Project. Mike is incredibly passionate about his work, his team and his family.
As one of our most experienced Rope Access Project Managers, Ian carries out the design & installation of working-at-height fall prevention systems and oversees confined space access, servicing and inspection projects.
Chris has over 10 years of experience working across various sectors of industrial rope (IRATA Level 3 Site Supervisor & IOSH). At Vertical Access, he is responsible for the development and control of structural maintenance & repair contracts.
As a qualified building surveyor and Level 3 IRATA Site Supervisor with 12+ years of practice, Andy's vast experience covers supervising and now managing Structural and Geotechnical sites across the UK.
Karl is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the company depot. His responsibilities include plant, machine & equipment management/maintenance and health & safety inspections for complex & high-risk sites.
Harry manages the company’s social media platforms and has recently co-led in planning the company website redevelopment project. He also oversees the creation, implementation and monitoring of company marketing strategies and online content.
Paul is a Level 3 IRATA Site Supervisor specialising in enhancing operational efficiency. Paul uses his experience to write detailed reports and develop bespoke digital systems, which improve company-wide workflow.
Ruby has been part of the Vertical Access team for 12 years! She is in charge of staff welfare and improving the office atmosphere.
